Conceived for the demands of the Special Operations community, the MCX VIRTUS Patrol from SIG SAUER is engineered for adaptability, accuracy and longevity. Cold hammer-forged 16” barrels are user-changeable and available in 5.56 NATO and 300 BLK, offering the utmost in mission-specific flexibility. SIG’s proven internal recoil system offers reduced recoil and a compact platform. To enhance accuracy, the MCX VIRTUS features the new Matchlite™ Duo trigger for crisp, clean feel. Free-floating M-LOK handguards are available in four lengths. Ambidextrous, AR-style controls and a folding and adjustable stock enable the MCX VIRTUS Patrol to be tailored to any shooter. Available in Stealth Gray and FDE and built with the highest-quality components, the MCX VIRTUS is the apex predator of the carbine world.

The SIG MCX is a family of firearms designed and manufactured by SIG Sauer, produced in both selective fire and semi-automatic only models, and features a short-stroke gas piston system, which is inherited from the earlier SIG MPX submachine gun. The MCX is available in rifle, carbine, short-barreled rifle, and pistol configurations (the latter configuration generally conforming to the definition of a compact carbine but for taking a pistol brace rather than a buttstock).[5]

I bought the rifle approximately six months ago chambered in .300 Blackout. A month later I purchased the .223/5.56 barrel as well. After approximately 200 rounds through the .300 barrel and 500 through the .223/5.56 barrel, it has performed perfectly. Sight in took less than 10 rounds and remained sighted in after barrel changes. I have added additional rails on the bottom of the forend and mounted a bi-pod and handle. Great rifle and very well built.

This rifle is an absolute boss!!Just purchased my virtus patrol and I am absolutely blown away by its build, accuracy, and trigger pull. The whole frame is solid like a rock.
